A Merseyside Road Safety Partnership scheme is helping to keep roads safer, with support from the local community.

Safer Roads Watch volunteers in Wirral recently reached the landmark of recording 1000 detections of vehicles travelling in excess of the speed limit on the borough’s roads.
The scheme was developed for volunteers to take a proactive role in improving safety in their community.

Working with local Council’s and Merseyside Police, volunteers monitor speeds and provide support so that letters can be sent to those detected speeding to improve safety and change behaviour on the borough’s roads; https://merseysideroadsafety.org/safer-roads-watch/
