A presentation about the Engage initiative features as part of the line-up of a month-long road safety festival, in which driving instructors are being invited to participate.

Organised by Road Safety GB, the Festival of Road Safety replaces the 2020 National Road Safety Conference and will run throughout November (2-27 Nov).

There will be a mixture of content delivered on each of the 20 working days – including keynote presentations, live discussion sessions and workshops, podcasts and a bumper fringe programme.

All the content will be published free to view on the Festival website, while participants will need to sign up for the live discussion sessions and workshops – which cover topics including cycling, the school run, autonomous vehicles, electric scooters and behavioural change.

The Engage presentation will be delivered by road safety consultant Paul Mountford.

Paul is a former roads policing officer with Merseyside Police, having performed that role for over 27 years.

He is still employed by Merseyside Police as a casualty reduction officer and currently works in the Merseyside Road Safety Partnership.
