Congratulations to Wirral Association of Professional Driving Instructors who have been awarded the Intelligent Instructor Local Driving Instructor Association of the Year award 2022.

The award ceremony took place online in February, and Wirral APDI were voted category winner by an expert judging panel and public votes. https://www.intelligentinstructor.co.uk/intelligent-instructor-award-winners-2022/

Wirral APDI was first established in 1988 by a small group of independent Wirral based Driving Instructors who met on a monthly basis to keep up to date and share local information.

The association has continued to grow, and today with more than 65 fully qualified and dedicated professionals, the Association goes from strength to strength. Members keep up to speed with any changes and initiatives being launched by DVSA and attend monthly meetings to remain informed and knowledgeable. The group has good links with local DVSA examiners and Road Safety teams.

Many Wirral APDI members have been Engage Instructors since the start of the scheme and take part in further CPD training and road safety initiatives.

The role of an independent driving instructor can often be a lonely profession and being a member of an association gives ADI’s somewhere to turn to ask advice, as well as an opportunity to meet up socially outside of work.

If you are a Wirral-based ADI and would like to join the association, please visit their website for more details https://wirralinstructors.co.uk

If you are an instructor or a learner who would like to join and support the engage driving scheme you can find out more here
