During the Covid-19 pandemic the Engage partnership team has worked hard to keep in touch with members, in what can only be described as challenging times for driving instructors.

Now that we find ourselves in another lockdown, Engage will continue to provide support in any way we can, including additional online meetings and opportunities for professional development.

Forthcoming events

Interim Engage Partnership meeting (Monday 8 February @ 11am).
Paul Mountford, Casualty Reduction Officer with Merseyside Police Safer Roads Unit will be giving a talk about driving ‘Under the Influence’ with the opportunity to ask questions.

Quarterly Partnership meeting (Thursday 18 March @ 4pm).
Craig Arnold from Merseyside Police will deliver an excellent presentation, ‘An insight into forensic Collision Investigation and reconstruction techniques’.

All meetings are on Zoom, members will automatically be sent a link for the meeting. If you do not receive invitations and wish to join the meeting please contact Sarah Collins by email; Sarah.Collins@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

New Engage modules

A new vehicle maintenance module has been developed for Engage instructors. This module is in the format of an on-line video and describes how best to teach key concepts relating to vehicle maintenance to learner drivers.

Further modules are planned on the topics of ‘speed’ and ‘peer influence’.
