Driving instructors from across Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire are being encouraged to complete a new survey on emerging road safety issues.

The 2020 Road Safety Survey, devised by Road Safety GB, covers a host of subjects including electric scooters – seeking views on their potential legalisation and whether they pose a risk to pedestrians.

Self-driving vehicles also feature, asking whether people would ever feel fully comfortable using such a vehicle – and whether they will arrive on the roads in the next two decades

Other subjects covered by the survey include drug driving, smart motorways, electric vehicles and low emission zones.

The anonymous survey takes under five minutes to complete.

The findings will be presented in a series of news items on the Road Safety GB website.
